Terms of Service
Last updated 6 August 2026
The short version. Pay $19a month after a free week, use it to organise your homeschool, keep everything you create, and cancel whenever you like. We’ll be straight with you about what is and isn’t built. It is a planning tool, not legal advice, and it does not make you compliant with anything.
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and Kigrove and cover your use of Kigrove Beta. By creating an account you accept them. If you don’t, please don’t create one.
2. Who may use it
You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into a contract. The account is for a parent or guardian to manage their own family’s homeschool. Children do not get accounts and must not be given your sign-in details.
3. This is a beta
Kigrove Betais an early product. Features listed as “still being built” on our beta page are not part of what you are paying for, and we do not promise a date for them. Things will change, some will break, and we will occasionally take a wrong turn and reverse it. What we do promise is to say so plainly, to answer you when you write, and never to advertise something as working when it is not.
4. Your account
Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per family; the person who creates it is the owner and is the only one who can change the plan.
5. Your content is yours
Everything you put in — lessons, notes, goals, photographs, recordings, observations, your children’s work — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your content, and to transmit it back to you and to others signed in to your family.
We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
6. What you agree not to do
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to upload.
- Upload material that infringes someone else’s copyright — a purchased curriculum you are licensed to use personally is fine to keep for your own family; redistributing it is not.
- Attempt to reach another family’s records.
- Probe, scan, or overload the service, or resell access to it.
We may suspend an account that does these things. If we suspend yours, we will tell you why and give you a way to get your records.
7. Payment
A free trial of 7 days, with no card required. After that, $19per month, charged through Stripe, renewing automatically until you cancel. Prices may change in future, but not for you without at least 30 days’ notice by email — and not at all for Founding Families for as long as your subscription stays active. Full details on Refunds & cancellation.
8. It is a planning tool, not compliance
This is important, so it is not in the fine print. Kigrove Betahelps you organise and keep records. It does not interpret your state’s homeschool law, does not tell you what your state requires, does not file anything on your behalf, and does not certify that your records satisfy anyone. Homeschool requirements differ by state and change over time, and you remain fully responsible for knowing and meeting the requirements that apply to your family.
Nothing in the product or in these pages is legal or educational advice. Standards shown in the app are provided as a reference and may be incomplete or out of date; the official source is always authoritative.
9. Availability
We aim to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we do not offer a service-level guarantee during the beta. There may be downtime, including for maintenance. We keep backups, and we still recommend you download anything you would be devastated to lose — that is true of every online service, including this one.
10. Ending it
You can cancel at any time from the billing page; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and read access to your records after that. You can ask us to delete your account entirely — see the Privacy Policy. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and a way to take your records with you.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept it.
